Annan survive Rangers rally

Annan made hard work of their clash with Berwick but eventually ran out 4-2 winners. They opened the scoring after four minutes when Matt Flynn played the ball to David Hopkirk out wide and his teasing cross was converted by Stuart McColm at the back post.It looked all to easy when Hopkirk and McColm again combined to great effect and the latter picked out Josh Todd to slot home from close range four minutes later. It was 3-0 when McColm's cross-cum-shot from the left side of the box found the bottom corner in the 35th minute.Annan were cruising with 10 minutes to go but Berwick pulled a goal back through Paul Willis' neat finish and then sub Blair Henderson (86) fired in a second to set up a tense finale.Any worries were banished when the home side were awarded a penalty when Stephen Tulloch fouled Rabin Omar and Peter Weatherson netted a minute from time.
