Albion denied top spot again
Albion dropped points for the second straight game and missed out on the chance to move top of League Two again courtesy of a 3-2 defeat to East Fife.Rovers, who originally missed the chance to reach the summit when losing to Elgin over the weekend, were undone by a Kevin Smith brace, which came either side of Nathan Austin's effort, with three goals coming in the final 10 minutes of a breathless encounter.Knowing they only needed a point to move into pole position, Albion started brightly with John Gemmell's header being tipped over the top by goalkeeper Allan Fleming. They drew first blood in the 24th minute thanks to Marc McKenzie's stunning strike from near the byline which whistled into the net.The visitors offered little threat until they were back level nine minutes after the interval, Smith rifling home with his left boot inside the area.Austin's 80th-minute header put the Fifers ahead for the first time and although Gemmell's penalty levelled matters again three minutes later, Smith would have the final say with a clinical finish with five minutes to go.
