Austin hits four in East Fife win

Four goals from Nathan Austin helped East Fife to a 5-3 win against Elgin in an enthralling match in Scottish League Two.Striker Austin broke the deadlock in the 25th minute after goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw parried Sean Dickson's shot into his path.He added a second just two minutes later when he volleyed in trialist Derek Riordan's free-kick. Austin grabbed his hat-trick in the 35th minute after he headed in Riordan's pinpoint cross to cap a remarkable nine minutes for the 21-year-old.Elgin handed themselves a lifeline when forward Craig Gunn finished at the near post after 40 minutes.But they fell further behind on the stroke of half-time after Riordan''s free-kick found the bottom corner.Brian Cameron pulled one back for the hosts within 30 seconds of the restart when his attempted cross floated in.It was four for Austin in the 53rd minute after he cut inside and slammed home before Daniel Moore's brilliant free-kick earned City a late consolation.
