Last-gasp Nisbet wins it
Kevin Nisbet left it late to secure in-form East Stirling an 2-1 away win at Elgin. The home side came into this clash just one point behind their visitors in the chase for a top-four spot and they flew into the lead with just four minutes gone. Daniel Moore teed-up Shane Sutherland who headed past East Stirling shot-stopper Richie Barnard. And five minutes later Barnard was called into action to keep out another header, this time from Ally Gilchrist as Elgin looked to kill the game off inside 10 minutes. But East Stirling, unbeaten in four, edged back into the match and after Ross Gilmour fired over they drew level in the 32nd minute when David McKenna nodded home a delivery from Nisbet.Nisbet was denied a goal of his own by the reactions of Ross Laidlaw at the start of the second half but he would steal the points with seconds left of normal time with a right-footed effort from inside the box.
