Damaging defeat for Livingston

Livingston saw their hopes of evading relegation severely dented after they were beaten 2-0 by Raith at the Energy Assets Arena.Striker Ibra Sekajja had a great chance for the hosts early on after he pounced on Rory McKeown's weak clearance but he could only fire straight at goalkeeper David McGurn.Rovers took the lead in the 15th minute when midfielder Ross Callachan powered a brilliant 25-yard strike into the bottom corner.Lewis Vaughan made it two six minutes later when he dispatched Barrie McKay's excellent cut-back.Striker Mark Stewart then unleashed a thundering effort which rattled the crossbar for Raith before Myles Hippolyte missed a golden opportunity to pull one back when he headed wide with the goal gaping. The result leaves Livingston six points adrift at the bottom of the table while Rovers remain in sixth.
