McElroy strike sees off East Fife
An early goal from Ciaran McElroy was enough to give promotion-chasing Queen's Park a 1-0 win over 10-man East Fife.McElroy notched his second goal of the season in the 11th minute, finishing clinically into the top corner after being sent clear by Ross McPherson.Nathan Austin was sent off in the first half after picking up two yellow cards, the second for a foul on Gavin Mitchell with the visitors already up against it.Queen's Park continued to dominate possession with the numerical advantage, but were unable to extend their lead as Allan Fleming frustrated them in the East Fife goal.Ola Adeyemo looked to have pulled his side level in the final 10 minutes but was flagged for offside as the Spiders held on to stay one point adrift of league leaders Albion.
