Shrimps hit back to see off struggling Yeovil

Morecambe came from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory over struggling Yeovil. The Glovers took the lead in the 69th minute when skipper Darren Ward bundled the ball over the line from close range after the home defence failed to deal with a right-wing corner. But the home side hit back with two goals of real quality. The first came from veteran Kevin Ellison after 74 minutes when he turned sharply in the box and curled an effort past Artur Krysiak from 12 yards.Six minutes later Krysiak was beaten again by an even better finish. The Shrimps' top scorer Shaun Miller picked up the ball on the right-hand side and cut in to curl a delightful effort into the top right-hand corner of Krysiak's goal.An entertaining game saw Yeovil miss a first-half penalty when Matt Dolan's spot-kick was saved by Barry Roche after Adam Dugdale had brought down Shaun Jeffers. From there, Ellison had two efforts ruled out for offside and both teams hit the woodwork with Aaron Wildig and Iffy Allen both hitting the foot of the post with goalkeepers beaten.
