Leaders Burton held at home by struggling Oldham
Leaders Burton moved four points clear at the top of Sky Bet League One after they were held to a goalless draw by relegation-threatened Oldham. The Brewers were on top in the first half and Lucas Akins nipped in front of goalkeeper Joel Coleman and struck towards the unguarded net but Brian Wilson, James Wilson and Cameron Dummigan dived to a man to ensure the ball would not creep over the line.On the half hour, Mike Jones' corner caught in the wind and almost crept over the line but Burton goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin punched clear.Just before the break, Tom Flanagan climbed above Carl Winchester but saw his header from a corner rattle the crossbar with what proved to be the closest the two sides would come.Oldham were the better team after half-time and on the hour Winchester tried his luck from distance but his powerful strike fell wide of McLaughlin's near post.At the other end, Duffy's 25-yard free-kick was well struck and on target but pushed behind for a corner by Coleman in a game of few clear-cut chances.
