Coventry held at home by Blackpool
Coventry were left to rue a string of wasted chances in a goalless draw with Blackpool at the Ricoh Arena.Tony Mowbray's high-flying side produced a string of opportunities but lacked the cutting edge to continue their push for promotion. They could count themselves slightly fortunate when Blackpool striker Mark Cullen failed to make a glorious chance count midway through the second half. The home side's first opening came in the third minute when Marc Antoine-Fortune was set up by young Ryan Kent but he shot wide of goal. That set the tone for the remainder of the half and Coventry continued to probe without creating enough inside the Blackpool box.Adam Armstrong, Kent and Chris Stokes all had strikes at goal and twice keeper Colin Doyle made fine saves. The impressive Jack Redshaw and Brad Potts were the main threat for the visitors but their best chance came in the second half when Cullen beat Reda Johnson only to fire wide.
