Raith very much in the play-off picture after win
Raith did their Ladbrokes Championship play-off hopes no harm by beating fifth-placed Queen of the South 2-0 at Stark's Park. The fourth-placed hosts were forced into an early change when Iain Davidson clashed heads with Dale Hilson, but they were soon ahead.Mark Stewart opened the scoring for Raith just after the half-hour mark by tapping in the rebound from Ryan Hardie's shot which was blocked on the line.James Craigen then doubled their lead from the penalty spot at the end of the first half after Chris Higgins was adjudged to have handled in the area.Rovers looked the more likely to extend their advantage after the break but, despite failing to add a third goal, they still moved seven points clear of the Doonhamers in the table.
