Kyle Benedictus nods home late on as Raith edge past Queen of the South
Kyle Benedictus scored a late winner as Raith beat Queen of the South 1-0 in Scottish League One.Queens midfielder Ryan Conroy had the game's first effort on his return to his former club but saw his free-kick well saved by Raith goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert.Lewis Toshney fired over for the hosts before Rory McKeown did likewise just before the break as Raith struggled to test Robbie Thomson.Andrew Dowie saw a fine header saved by Cuthbert and that proved to be crucial as centre-back Benedictus found the top corner with a header of his own 12 minutes from time to win it for Rovers.
