Elgin lead cut after defeat at Annan

Elgin saw their lead at the top of League Two cut to two points as fourth-placed Annan eased to a 4-2 victory.The home side dominated from the off, with Rabin Omar bringing a fine early save from Mark Hurst.Steven Sloan's left-footed strike was pushed away by Hurst, but the home side were in front shortly afterwards when Josh Todd kept his cool when clean through to slot home.Todd turned provider for Annan's second three minutes later, crossing for Matt Flynn to convert from close range.It was 3-0 a minute after the restart as Jordon Morton flashed the ball across goal for Flynn to grab his second of the game at the far post.Elgin's Dylan Easton hit the woodwork with a free-kick shortly before they did pull a goal back when substitute Kyle MacLeod fired home.Easton was sent off for a rash challenge on Morton and the visitors then saw MacLeod leave the field on a stretcher.They made it 3-2 with 10 minutes remaining when Archie MacPhee's shot appeared to take a touch off defender Bryan Gilfillan on its way in, only for debutant Ben Jago to seal the win for Annan.
