Galabankies strengthen grip on top spot
Annan consolidated top spot with a comfortable 3-1 win at home to East Stirling.The Galabank club dominated the early stages. After the visitors failed to clear a high ball, Matt Flynn rose to head in the opener.Shortly after, Peter Weatherson nodded against the bar as East Stirling hung on for dear life.The striker did get on the scoresheet before half time, Flynn setting up the veteran player-coach to finish coolly past Darren Dolan.Weatherson grabbed his second after the break with a trademark free-kick from 25 yards, before Alistair Roy pulled one back late on for the Shire with a solo effort.
