Salomon Kalou hit a hat trick as Hertha Berlin moved up to fourth place in the Bundesliga on Friday night, thanks to a 3-1 win at Hannover.
The Ivory Coast forward gave the Old Lady the lead after little over half an hour, and he supplied a second as the hosts tried to look for an equaliser in the second half.
Hiroshi Kiyotake gave Hannover some hope from the penalty spot with 20 minutes remaining, but Kalou ended all doubt with a penalty of his own five minutes from time as he completed his first ever Bundesliga hat-trick.
The win lifts Hertha to fourth for a night, ahead of the remaining fixtures this weekend, while Hannover could slip back inside the bottom three if results do not go their way on Saturday and Sunday.
