Melbourne City see off Wellington Phoenix as Harry Novillo hits brace
Melbourne City FC moved up to second in the A-League table after defeating Wellington Phoenix FC 3-1 at AAMI Park.
City were 1-0 up after just 11 minutes when Bruno Fornaroli opened the scoring for the hosts, firing home after losing his marker.
Harry Novillo made it 2-0 in the 31st minute, finding the back of the net with a volley following Michael Zullo's ball into the box.

And the home side were 3-0 ahead shortly after the break -- Novillo finishing off a team move to grab his second -- with Phoenix unable to offer up anything in response.
City are now just two points behind A-League leaders Western Sydney Wanderers, with Phoenix staying eighth after the defeat.
