Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United played out a 0-0 draw in the A-League on Friday.

Adelaide went into the game having won their previous two matches but were frustrated at the Hunter Stadium.

Marcelo Carrusca saw two free kicks hit the woodwork as the Jets rode their luck.

The results sees the Jets seventh in the division, while Adelaide are second from bottom.
