Adelaide United and Newcastle Jets play out goalless draw in A-League
Adelaide United remain bottom of the A-League table after drawing 0-0 at home to Newcastle Jets on Sunday.
The Reds are still searching for their first win of the season seven wins into the campaign but had chances to break their duck at Coopers Stadium.
It was a very different game to last season, when Adelaide won the corresponding fixture 7-0.
Craig Goodwin looked to have the best chance of the first half for the Jets, but Nigel Boogaard made a last-ditch challenge to thwart him.
Jimmy Jeggo twice went close for Adelaide, but found goalkeeper Mark Birighitti on top form.
