Toronto FC cruised to a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in Tuesday's CONCACAF Champions League round-of-16 first leg.

The away victory gives the reigning Major League Soccer champions a comfortable lead heading into the return leg at BMO Field.

In the face of sub-zero conditions in Commerce City, Jonathan Osorio opened the scoring 10 minutes after half-time, nodding home an excellent cross from Sebastian Giovinco. The Italy international then got himself on the scoresheet with a neat volley in the 73rd minute.

Ahead of the match, one TFC player told the Toronto Sun that the cold conditions -- down to -9C in some areas of Denver -- were "like playing in f---ing Siberia."
