Curacao's first-ever Gold Cup win knocks out Honduras

Curacao upset Honduras 1-0 on Friday in a massive Gold Cup shock to earn their first-ever victory at the tournament.

Leandro Bacuna was the hero as Curacao scored their first Gold Cup goal in their history, eliminating Honduras in the process. Bacuna was on hand to tuck home a low ball into the box five minutes before the break, and Honduras had no answer in the second half.

It wasn't for the want of trying, though, with Eloy Room outstanding in the Curacao goal. Room made 13 saves in total to earn the man of the match award as one of the Gold Cup's main contenders were dumped out.

Rubilio Castillo thought he had scored an equaliser on the hour mark but his goal was ruled out for offside in the buildup and Curacao held on for a memorable victory.
