Utah Royals and Houston Dash battle to scoreless draw

Despite numerous attempts from both sides to find the back of the net, the Utah Royals and Houston Dash played to a scoreless draw Saturday at America First Field.

For Royals (1-1-4), goalkeeper Mandy Haught was instrumental in keeping a clean sheet, making several crucial saves throughout the game. Forward Paige Monaghan also had an active presence on the field with multiple shot attempts, though none found their mark.

Other notable contributions for Utah came from midfielders Mikayla Cluff and Amandine Henry. Cluff's efforts included a key shot saved by Houston's Jane Campbell, while Henry had two significant headers that were either blocked or missed narrowly.

Yellow cards were issued to midfielder Andressa Alves of Houston at minute 12 and forward Ramona Bachmann at minute 32 for bad fouls, and forward Hannah Betfort of Utah was substituted out due to injury around minute 50.

On Houston's side (1-2-3), forward Diana Ordóñez made several offensive pushes and Campbell performed admirably with critical saves against shots from defender Zoe Burns and Henry, among others.
