The Kansas City Current secured a 1-0 victory over the North Carolina Courage on Sunday at CPKC Stadium. Forward Debinha's close-range goal in the second half proved decisive as Kansas City improved their record to 6-3-0 (21 points), while North Carolina fell to 4-0-5 (12 points).

Debinha was instrumental for the Current, scoring the game's only goal in the 52nd minute with a right-footed shot. 

Goalkeeper Adrianna Franch made crucial saves throughout the match, including stopping attempts from midfielder Ashley Sanchez and forward Tyler Lussi of North Carolina. Center back Gabrielle Robinson also had a standout game defensively and contributed offensively with multiple shots on target.

North Carolina midfielder Denise O'Sullivan had to leave the game due to an injury shortly after halftime and was replaced by Brianna Pinto.

Despite being on the losing side, Casey Murphy put up an impressive performance as North Carolina's goalkeeper with several critical saves that kept her team within striking distance until Debinha broke through.
