Washington Spirit dominate Bay FC 3-0

The Washington Spirit, led by standout performances from Trinity Rodman and Makenna Morris, secured a commanding 3-0 win over Bay FC at PayPal Park on Saturday.

The Spirit showcased their offensive prowess early. In the fourth minute, Morris capitalized on a set piece situation to score from close range, giving Washington the lead.

Bay FC goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland was shown a yellow card for a foul in the third minute, setting the tone for what would be a challenging game for her side. Despite attempts by Bay FC to equalize, including shots from Racheal Kundananji and Deyna Castellanos, they couldn't find the back of the net.

In the 21st minute, Rodman doubled Washington's lead by converting a penalty kick with precision into the bottom left corner after Morris drew a foul in the box. The first half ended with Washington in control at 2-0.

The second half saw more dominance from Washington as Ouleymata Sarr added another goal in the 57th minute following an assist from Morris during a fast break. This goal sealed Bay FC's fate despite their efforts to mount a comeback.

Bay FC made several substitutions throughout both halves but struggled to create clear scoring opportunities against Washington's solid defense.
