Angel City FC edge Chicago Red Stars with late goal

Angel City FC, led by Sydney Leroux's late heroics, secured a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Red Stars at BMO Stadium on Sunday. Alyssa Thompson opened the scoring for Angel City in the sixth minute with a close-range shot to the bottom left corner. The match saw an equalizer from Bea Franklin of Chicago in first-half stoppage time, assisted by Natalia Kuikka.

Leroux came off the bench and made an immediate impact, netting the winning goal in added time (90'+1') with a right-footed shot from the center of the box. M.A. Vignola provided the assist for Leroux's decisive strike.
