Bay FC, buoyed by the late effort of Abby Dahlkemper, beat the North Carolina Courage 1-0 at PayPal Park in San José, California, on Saturday.

Dahlkemper scored in the 83rd minute to lift Bay FC (10-1-14). The decisive moment came when Racheal Kundananji assisted Dahlkemper following a set piece. It was one of several key contributions from Kundananji, who also had four shots.

Katelyn Rowland made two saves for Bay FC. Asisat Oshoala contributed significantly with two of the team's four shots on target before being substituted by Rachel Hill in the 66th minute.

For the North Carolina Courage (12-3-10), Casey Murphy made three saves but couldn't stop Dahlkemper's close-range effort. Olivia Wingate led her team with four fouls suffered and two shots before being replaced by Haley Hopkins in the 85th minute. 

This victory added crucial points to Bay FC's tally as it looks to hang on to a playoff spot. Bay FC is tied on points (31) with Portland as the teams hold the final two playoff spots. North Carolina (39 points) is in fifth place.
