Robinson, New Orleans beat Northwestern State 73-67

NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Bryson Robinson scored 17 points and Ezekiel Charles tied his career highs with four 3-pointers and 15 points to help New Orleans beat Northwestern State 73-67 on Wednesday night.

Travin Thibodeaux added 11 points for New Orleans (10-10, 7-2 Southland Conference).

Charles hit back-to-back 3s before Thibodeaux made a layup to cap an 8-1 spurt that made it 67-56 with 2:19 to play. The Demons scored nine of the next 11 points, including five by Iziahiah Sweeney, to pull within four with 53 seconds left, but Robinson made 3 of 4 free throws from there to seal it.

Ishmael Lane had 14 points, Sweeney scored 13 and Malik Metoyer 12 for Northwestern State (3-16, 0-8). The Demons have lost 11 in a row, tied with Pepperdine for the fourth-longest active losing streak in Division I.

New Orleans scored 20 second-chance points off 14 offensive rebounds.
