Sengfelder's career-high 31 helps Boise St. beat SJSU 94-71

BOISE, Idaho -- Chris Sengfelder scored a career-high 31 points on 11-of-15 shooting and Boise State hit a season-high 18 3-pointers on Wednesday night as the Broncos beat San Jose State 94-71.

Sengfelder made 5 of 6 from 3-point range and Chandler Hutchison added 19 points, moving him into 10th on Boise State's career scoring list with 1,257. Lexus Williams tied career highs with four 3s and 16 points for the Broncos (17-4, 7-2 Mountain West).

Zach Haney's jumper made it 20-19 midway through the first half and the Broncos led the rest of the way. Keith Fisher hit a jumper that pulled San Jose State within two points with six minutes left in the half, but Sengfelder scored 11 points during an 18-4 run. Boise State took a 47-34 lead into the break and the Spartans trailed by double figures throughout the second half.

Ryan Welage led San Jose State (3-16, 0-8) with 22 points and Fisher scored a career-high 16. The Spartans have lost eight in a row.

Boise State, which won its 12th consecutive home game, scored 22 points off 17 SJSU turnovers.
