Barnes' buzzer-beating 3 lifts Weber State over CMU 78-76

BIMINI, Bahamas -- Israel Barnes hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Weber State a 78-76 win over Central Michigan in the second night of the Junkanoo Jam on Friday.

Cody John grabbed the rebound off David DiLeo's missed free throw with 7.8 seconds left and drove it inside the top of the key before kicking to Barnes on the left wing.

Weber State (3-1) closed the game on an 8-2 run starting with Zach Braxton's dunk with 1:06 left in the game. The Wildcats improved their record to 2-0 in the tournament and will face CSU Bakersfield to close out the tournament on Sunday.

Jerrick Harding scored 25 to lead Weber State. John added 18 points and Braxton had 16 on 6-of-8 shooting.

Larry Austin scored 30 points for Central Michigan (3-1), which led 69-61 on Austin's layup with 4:35 left. The Chippewas will face San Jose State on Sunday.
