BEAUMONT, Texas -- — Shahada Wells scored 23 points and Antavion Collum buried a 3-pointer with four seconds left to rally McNeese to a 58-56 victory over Lamar on Monday night.
Wells added six rebounds and three steals for the Cowboys (25-3, 14-1 Southland Conference), who have won six in a row. Javohn Garcia finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three steals. Collum was 0 for 8 from the floor before sinking the winner. He was 2 for 4 at the free-throw line.
Adam Hamilton led the Cardinals (15-13, 9-6) with 10 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks and three steals. Chris Pryor also scored 10 and Terry Anderson totaled eight points and seven rebounds.
