McLaughlin scores 22, Campisano hits buzzer-beater as Northern Arizona beat Abilene Christian 78-76

ABILENE, Texas -- — Trenton McLaughlin had 22 points and Diego Campisano scored on a layup to end it as Northern Arizona beat Abilene Christian 78-76 on Wednesday night.

Hunter Jack Madden made a pair of free throws for Abilene Christian that tied it 76-all with 15 seconds to play. Oakland Fort then missed a jumper but Campisano scored on the put back.

McLaughlin was 8-of-14 shooting, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the line for the Lumberjacks (4-5). Fort scored 18 points while shooting 6 for 13 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line, and added six rebounds. Jayden Jackson finished 5 of 6 from the floor to finish with 10 points, while adding 11 rebounds.

Airion Simmons finished with 25 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (3-6). Kavion McClain added 15 points for Abilene Christian. In addition, Immanuel Allen finished with 11 points and four steals.
