NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- — Tramon Mark scored 17 points and Arkansas edged Lipscomb 69-66 on Saturday despite giving up all but one point of a 20-point second-half lead.
The Bisons (7-6) went on a 17-0 run to get within a point with 4 1/2 minutes remaining. Davonte Davis' driving layup had Arkansas (7-4) ahead by three with 23 seconds left and Owen McCormack missed open 3-pointers on the Bisons' final two possessions.
Mark scored 15 of his points in the first half when the Razorbacks took a 41-33 lead. Makhi Mitchell finished with 12 points and Jalen Graham 11. All three of Arkansas' double-figure scorers came off the bench, which scored 46 points. The Razorbacks shot 53% but had 14 turnovers.
Will Pruitt scored 15 points, McCormack had 13 points and 12 rebounds, Joe Anderson scored 11 points and A.J. McGinnis added 10 for Lipscomb, which played its second straight game without leading scorer Derrin Boyd, out with a hand injury. The Bisons are also waiting for the return of Jacob Ognacevic, their leading scorer from last season, who hasn't played this season because of an injury.
The game marked the Razorback debut of Washington transfer guard Keyon Menifield Jr., who was granted an NCAA waiver to become eligible. He played 19 minutes and scored two points.
The start of the game was delayed by about 15 minutes because of a problem with the lights at Simmons Bank Arena.
Arkansas will be back on its Fayetteville campus for its next game on Thursday against Abilene Christian. Lipscomb will be home against Bryan on Wednesday.
