NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- — Dallas Howell scored 14 points, KJ Johnson made a spectacular game-winning shot and No. 6 seed North Alabama beat third-seeded Lipscomb 77-75 on Tuesday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament quarterfinal.

Lipscomb's Owen McCormack hit a deep 3-pointer with 4.3 seconds left to tie it 75-all. Johnson immediately took the inbound pass, dribbled the floor and then launched a jumper from the top of the arc and landed on his stomach, past the free-throw line as the ball hit the net at the buzzer.

North Alabama (15-16) will face No. 4 seed Austin Peay (18-14) in a Thursday quarterfinal.

Howell contributed six rebounds for the Lions. Johnson and Will Soucie each finished with 11 points. Damien Forrest added 11 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

Will Pruitt led the way for the Bisons (20-12) with 20 points, six rebounds and two steals. Lipscomb also got 18 points and three steals from Joe Anderson. A.J McGinnis finished with 15 points and two steals.

Howell scored 14 points to help North Alabama build a 50-43 halftime lead.
