CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings begin their long road journey tonight when the they visit the Charlotte Coliseum for a meeting with the Hornets.
Jason Williams scored 22 points and Chris Webber added 21 as the Kings has their seven-game winning streak stopped on Saturday with a 104-101 loss to Utah. Webber, who has been battling a stiff neck and missed a game last week, made just 8-of-27 from the field against the Jazz. Sacramento, which has scored over 100 points in eight straight games, averages a league-best 105.7 points per contest. The Hornets are seventh in the league in scoring at 100 points per game. After enduring a season-high seven-game losing streak, the Hornets have rattled off four straight wins, including Saturday's 110-96 triumph here over Boston. Derrick Coleman had 24 points and 11 rebounds. Charlotte has won five in a row at home since a 110-106 loss to Orlando on December 23 and is 16-2 overall on its homecourt. The Kings won both meetings from Charlotte last season, and three in a row over the Hornets.
