Orlando has announced that they are waiving the $16.7M expiring contract of Timofey Mozgov. Before the waiver, the Magic were $3M over the luxury tax and a projected $890K below the tax apron. If Orlando elects to stretch Mozgov over three seasons ($5.6M cap hit each year), the team would now be $8.2M under the tax and $12M under the apron. Stretching Mozgov now gives the team the financial flexibility to sign restricted free agent Khem Birch.

All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic has agreed to return to the Orlando Magic on a four-year, $100 million deal, his agent, Bill Duffy, told ESPN's Bobby Marks on Sunday.
