Los Angeles opened 12-4-4, but is just 2-3-2 over its last seven games and has fallen four points benind first-place Phoenix in the Pacific Division.

Glen Murray score twice and Vladimir Tsyplakov also tallied as Los Angeles skated to a 1-1 tie against Tampa Bay on Saturday. Murray has four goals and an assist over the last three games and Bryan Smolinski has four assists during that stretch.

Atlanta fell to 2-4 over its last six outings with Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to Nashville. Bidding for the first three-game winning streak in its brief history, the Thrashers fell to 0-2-2 in overtime.

Mike Stapleton scored his third goal in two games and Dean Sylvester tallied for the second straight contest.

Sylvester and fellow rookie Patrick Stefan each are riding three-game points streak for the Thrashers. Andrew Brunette leads the team with 12 goals and 25 points.
