NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers look to reverse their
road fortunes tonight when they face the New York Rangers, who
are unbeaten in their last three games.
New York is coming off a stunning 3-2 victory over Calgary on Monday. Tim Taylor, nearly knocked out on his first shift of the game after taking an elbow from defenseman Denis Gauthier, scored 32 seconds into overtime to give the Rangers a victory. New York has scored a power-play goal in its last three home games after going without one in four straight at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers are 2-0-3 against Edmonton since the 1997-98 season. The Oilers' have not won at Madison Square Garden since March 19, 1996, a 3-2 victory. The teams opened the season on October 1, skating to a 1-1 tie in Edmonton.
