PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Jeremy Roenick and the red-hot Phoenix
Coyotes shoot for their 10th win in 11 games tonight when they
host the Florida Panthers, who open a three-game road trip.
Roenick has 16 goals and 37 points and is riding a 10-game points streak to tie his career high, set in 1993 with Chicago. Tkachuk, who is second on the team with 12 goals and 25 points, is questionable for tonight. Florida won for the third time in four games Saturday, 2-1 over Washington. Pavel Bure and Scott Mellanby scored and Trevor Kidd made 35 saves. Bure has 10 goals and Ray Whitney is tops with 22 points for the Panthers, who have lost their last two road games by a combined score of 5-1. Florida also has struggled on the power play, going 0-for-14 over the last three games. Florida went 1-0-1 against Phoenix last season, including a 7-1 home rout on February 20. The Coyotes are 2-0-2 in the last four meetings at America West Arena.
