Los Angeles Sparks @ Dallas Wings
Cambage scores 20 points, Wings cruise past Sparks 101-72
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Liz Cambage scored 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting and Aerial Powers had 16 points and eight rebounds to help the Dallas Wings beat the Los Angeles Sparks 101-72 on Friday night.
Allisha Gray scored 15 points, Azura Stevens added 13 and Skylar Diggins-Smith, who finished with a season-low six points, had 11 assists -- one shy of her career best set in 2014 -- for Dallas (6-5).
Stevens made a layup and then, after she blocked Candace Parker's shot on the other end, sandwiched a pair of 3-pointers around a layup by Parker before Glory Johnson hit free throws to give Dallas the lead for good at 24-16. Allisha Gray made a 3-pointer to spark a 14-0 run, during which Cambage scored seven points, that made it 45-28 late in the first half and L.A. trailed by double figures the rest of the way.
Nneka Ogwumike, the only Sparks player to score in double figures, finished with 17 points.
Los Angeles (9-3) had its five-game win streak snapped.
The Wings shot a season-high 53.1 percent from the field, including 12 of 25 from 3-point range.
