TE Eli Wolf joining Georgia as graduate transfer

ATHENS, Ga. -- Tight end Eli Wolf, a part-time starter at Tennessee as a fourth-year junior in 2018, says he will play his final year of eligibility as a graduate transfer at Georgia.

After graduating from Tennessee in May, Wolf will be immediately eligible at Georgia. He had five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown last season.

Wolf announced his decision on his Twitter account Thursday. He followed older brother Ethan Wolf, also a tight end, to Tennessee as a walk-on before earning a scholarship before the 2017 season.

The addition of Wolf helps Georgia fortify a suddenly thin position after junior Isaac Nauta entered the NFL draft and freshman Luke Ford announced his transfer to Illinois.

Tight end Brett Seither from Clearwater, Florida, was one of Georgia's two signees Wednesday.
