Charlotte NFTC recruiting notes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Defensive end Carl Lawson committed to Auburn in March, but as is often the case with elite prospects, his recruitment is anything but over from the perspective of college coaches. USC, UCLA, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Miami are some of the schools that Lawson said have jumped out to him since he committed, and two of them could have a chance to get the ESPN 150 prospect on campus soon.

"I plan to visit UCLA and USC over the summer," Lawson said. "My dad says I should take a visit, so I might as well. I liked Coach [Jim] Mora Jr. before I committed, and Eddie Printz, Kenny Orjioke and a bunch of kids at my school all like UCLA."
