Movers and shakers

Film evaluation is always the most important factor when it comes to evaluations and rankings, but camp season is a good supplemental tool. The combines, camps and seven-on-seven tournaments throughout the spring and summer --
culminating in an event like The Opening, where 150 of the top prospects competed against one another -- gave us a chance to see players up close and learn even more about them. As the camp season ends, it is time to make some changes in the ESPN 150 and ESPN 300.

Now, remember, this is an ongoing process. Where a player ranks now isn't his final ranking. Hours and hours of studying senior film are still to come, plus the all-star season, when we watch the best of the best battle one another. This is just one more update in a series of them as we continue to watch, scout and evaluate these players.

But back to this class: It is shaping up to be the strongest cornerback class since the inception of the ESPN 150 in 2006. We add a third five-star CB as Eli Woodard (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) joins Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa, Fla./Wharton) and Mackensie Alexander (Immokalee, Fla./Immokalee) in that select group. The 150 features five cornerbacks in the top 20.
