Jake Lamb off DL after recovering from stress reaction in foot

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated third baseman Jake Lamb from the 15-day disabled list and designated backup catcher Jordan Pacheco for assignment.

Lamb, the starter at third when the season began, has been sidelined with a left foot stress reaction since April 19. Yasmany Tomas has been getting most of the playing time at third but is expected to play more in the outfield now that Arizona has traded right fielder Mark Trumbo to Seattle.

Lamb was hitting .414 with three doubles, a triple and a home run in the 10 games he played before he was hurt.

Pacheco was the odd man out at catcher after Jarrod Saltalamacchia was called up from Reno and Welington Castillo was acquired in the Trumbo trade.
