Terry leads SE Missouri State past Murray State 21-10

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Marquis Terry ran for two touchdowns as Southeast Missouri State rolled past Murray State 21-10 in a regular season closer on Saturday.

Terry had 92 yards on 11 carries for the Redhawks (2-8, 2-5 Ohio Valley Conference). Cameron Sanders added 47 yards and a score.

The Redhawks took a 14-0 lead in the first half on scoring runs by Terry and Sanders. Murray State's Gabriel Vicente kicked a 52-yard field goal midway through the third and the Redhawks answered on their next drive with a 34-yard touchdown run by Terry to make it 21-3 with 6:27 to play in the quarter.

The Racers (3-8, 2-5) fumbled on their next drive and were held to a total of 44 yards on the following three possessions before Cameron Birse threw a 13-yard pass for their only touchdown and the final score with 3:01 remaining.

Birse finished with 128 yards passing for Murray State.
