Raynard's 5TDs send North Carolina A&T past Mars Hill 56-0
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Lamar Raynard was 17-of-25 passing for 262 yards and five scores and North Carolina A&T cruised to a 56-0 win against Division II-member Mars Hill on Saturday in the Aggies' home opener.
Raynard entered the game leading the country in quarterback efficiency with a 253.93 rating.
Against the Mountain Lions he threw touchdowns of 3, 53, 66, 11 and 22 yards to put North Carolina A&T (2-0) on top 35-0 at halftime. Raynard had 251 yards passing before halftime and completed passes to seven different receivers.
In his first two games, Raynard has thrown just nine incomplete passes and has 36 completions for 583 yards and eight touchdowns.
Marquell Cartwright finished with 121 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown.
Defensively, the Aggies haven't surrendered a touchdown and have outscored their opponents 101-3.
David Salmon threw for 231 yards for Mars Hill (1-1).
