- Marcus Maddison - 28'
Home comforts for Posh at last
Peterborough secured a first home league win since October as they beat Yeovil 1-0 at the ABAX Stadium.Marcus Maddison scored Posh' first home goal in 388 minutes of football to give Darren Ferguson's team the victory. It came after 28 minutes from inside the penalty area, although Harry Beautyman almost got the final touch to the ball. It was the first home goal the home fans had been able to cheer since the final minute of a November 22 defeat at the hands of Swindon.Kyle Vassell twice failed to convert good chances from close range while Conor Washington and Joe Newell were both denied by smart Jed Steer saves early in the second half. But one goal was enough to ensure Yeovil boss Gary Johnson made a losing first return to Peterborough since the end of his nine-month reign as manager in January 2011.Former Posh defender Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi blazed a shot over the crossbar early on after Jamar Loza had been denied while a Liam Shepherd drive slithered just wide in the second period as the Glovers saw a three-match unbeaten run come to an end.
