      Jack Marriott nets again as Posh end losing run

      Peterborough snapped a four-match losing run when enjoying a final home hurrah by beating Fleetwood 2-0.League One's leading scorer Jack Marriott and George Cooper provided the second-half goals at the ABAX Stadium.Marriott produced a fine full-stretch finish six minutes into the second half to register his 33rd goal of a prolific campaign.And Cooper sealed the points with 12 minutes to go when delivering an exquisite finish to a fine cross from recently-introduced substitute Danny Lloyd.Only the woodwork prevented Posh, who have faded out of play-off contention, from winning far more emphatically.Anthony Grant blasted against the underside of the crossbar early on before Fleetwood goalkeeper Chris Neal reacted smartly to tip a mis-directed header from Ashley Eastham against the bar.Gwion Edwards saw Neal fumble his rocket shot against the bar just before the hour.Fleetwood full-back Lewis Coyle was also frustrated by the woodwork when curling a stoppage-time effort against the angle of post and bar.

        Shrewsbury fight back to beat Posh

        Shrewsbury impressively hit back from a goal down to beat Peterborough 3-1.Gwion Edwards gave Posh a half-time lead but Omar Beckles, Stefan Payne and Lenell John-Lewis completed the fightback for Paul Hurst's third-placed side.Shrewsbury started brightly and Ben Godfrey fired narrowly wide and Nathan Thomas lifted an effort over the bar.But Peterborough, needing a win to keep alive their play-off challenge, took the lead in the 14th minute as Edwards cut in from the left and drilled in a low shot from 20 yards.Craig MacGillivray made an excellent save from Leonardo Da Silva Lopes early in the second half before the hosts pulled level in the 59th minute. Posh were unable to clear a corner and defender Beckles fired home on the turn.Peterborough striker Danny Lloyd was then denied by a goalline clearance.Shrewsbury moved in front in the 73rd minute when top scorer Payne pounced on an error from Jack Baldwin to fire home his 14th goal of the season.Then substitute John-Lewis, set up by Arthur Gnahoua, produced a confident finish in stoppage time to complete a good night's work for Shrewsbury.

          Bradley Dack takes Blackburn one step closer to promotion

          League One player of the year Bradley Dack scored twice as Blackburn came from behind to defeat Peterborough 3-1 at Ewood Park.After Charlie Mulgrew's own goal gave Posh a deserved lead, Dack nodded in a second-half equaliser before Danny Graham's close-range header completed the turnaround.Dack rounded off the win in injury time with his 18th goal of the season as Blackburn stretched their lead over third-placed Shrewsbury to eight points.The visitors bossed the first half and were denied close to the break by a wonderful David Raya save from George Cooper's pinpoint free-kick, but Mulgrew headed the resulting corner past his own goalkeeper in the 44th minute.Blackburn roared back after the break as Dack powered home a header in the 54th minute.And seven minutes from time, Dack's header thundered back off the crossbar and Graham nodded home the rebound.Graham returned the favour in injury time, slipping Dack in who emphatically slotted home, sending the home fans into raptures after securing a vital win.

            Henderson sees red after netting vital winner for Rochdale at Peterborough

            Skipper Ian Henderson boosted 10-man Rochdale's hopes of avoiding relegation with the only goal of a vital victory at Peterborough - but will miss much of the remainder of the season after seeing red.Henderson struck for the fourth time in five games when pouncing from a tight angle in the 16th minute after Calvin Andrew was denied by Posh keeper Conor O'Malley.But the captain's 20th goal of the campaign was followed by his second sending off as he was dismissed seven minutes after the break for a shocking challenge on Gwion Edwards.The hosts dominated the remainder of the contest but they couldn't find a way past Rochdale goalkeeper Josh Lillis as their play-off hopes were dealt another blow.Captain Jack Baldwin saw two headers saved before Edwards' diving header was also parried by the Dale number one.Edwards did later succeed in putting the ball in the net but his 72nd minute tap-in was ruled out for offside and substitute Danny Lloyd saw a last-gasp looping header tipped over.Rochdale actually went closest to scoring again when Andrew headed a corner against the bar.
