O's toast first home win of year

First-half goals by Andrea Dossena and David Mooney and a third in added time by Jay Simpson completed a 3-0 win for Leyton Orient against Oldham at Brisbane Road.Dossena put the O's ahead after just three minutes. Playing his first match since January 10, the former Italian international accepted a pass from Ryan Hedges before striking an unstoppable shot past Latics goalkeeper Jake Kean. Then in the 24th minutes Jobi McAnuff , who had also played a part in the build-up to the opening goa, was hauled down in the penalty area by Liam Kelly. Striker Mooney stepped forward to send Kean the wrong way from the spot.Having doubled their advantage the O's dictated the remainder of the opening period with some decisive and controlled play.A more spirited performance by the visitors after the break extended the O's, but Oldham passed up the chance to reduce the deficit in the 64th minute.Awarded a penalty after Mathieu Baudry had fouled substitute Rhys Murphy, Orient goalkeeper Alex Cisak produced a splendid save to deny Jonathan Forte's penalty.Orient substitute Simpson capitalised on a defensive error deep into stoppage time to slip the ball past Kean and secure Orient their first home win in 2015.
