Yusuff serves up Daggers victory
Ade Yusuff came off the bench to score his first league goals and secure a 2-1 win for Dagenham at Accrington.Yusuff, who had been working in a restaurant and playing non-league football until earlier this season, came on at half time and netted a quick-fire seven minute double to make it two wins in eight for Dagenham. For Stanley it was their first defeat under John Coleman after three successive wins.Stanley bossed the early stages of the first half and Rob Atkinson had a header cleared off the line although goalkeeper Aaron Chapman did pull off a wonder save to keep out Brian Saah's fierce strike. It was nip and tuck after that until the Reds took the lead in the 39th minute. John O'Sullivan's cross from the left was mishit in the centre by Kal Naismith and it came out to West Ham loanee Sean Maguire who stroked the ball low into the net.Yusuff came on at the restart and the Daggers equalised in the 57th minute when the young striker raced through the Stanley backline and fired low and hard into the net for his first league goal. And Yusuff did exactly the same seven minutes later when he once again got the ball to the left of the area, raced forward and slotted into the far corner of the net to double the tally. The home side thought they had levelled when Tom Aldred's header came down off the crossbar before their keeper Chapman was stretchered off in injury time after landing awkwardly when tipping over a shot.
