Rare win for Minstermen

York earned only their second victory in 11 games as they won 3-0 at Cambridge. The Minstermen took the lead two minutes before half-time as Wes Fletcher pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box and drilled a powerful shot beyond goalkeeper Chris Dunn.Cambridge had looked more likely to score up to that point, with visiting keeper Bobby Olejnik pushing Jordan Slew's effort away after Ryan Donaldson's through ball put the forward in on goal.Michael Coulson doubled the lead four minutes after the break, darting across the right-hand side of the box and delivering a deep cross which evaded everyone and somehow dropped in the far corner of the net.Jake Hyde made it three after 55 minutes, diverting Fletcher's shot past Dunn from inside the six-yard box.Cambridge's best chance to respond came through Slew, who fired over following Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's low cross from the right.Josh Coulson also came close in the second minute of stoppage time but his header from a corner was tipped over by Olejnik.
