Including a 3-0 win for Barcelona in the Spanish league on Sunday, Barcelona have beaten Madrid by a combined score of 15-2 in just over a week.
The victory sends Barcelona through to a record-extending eighth successive Champions League semifinal and a meeting with Bayern Munich. Barcelona beat the German champions 7-1 when the sides met last October in the competition's league phase.
Alexia Putellas began the rout on Thursday, marking her 500th appearance with her 230th Barcelona goal in the eighth minute as the hosts set about building on their 6-2 advantage from the first leg in Madrid last week.
Caroline Graham Hansen, Irene Paredes and Ewa Pajor all found the net to take Barcelona into double figures for the tie before halftime. Graham Hansen and Esmee Brugts then completed the scoring in the second half.
Not only was it a record margin of victory in a women's Clásico, it also marked a record defeat for Madrid in the Champions League.
It was a fitting spectacle in front of a crowd of 60,067 -- the most in a Women's Champions League game since Barcelona took on Chelsea at the Camp Nou in April 2023 (72,262).
Putellas became the first Spanish player to have 30 goals in women's club competitions when she scored off the rebound after Pajor's attempt from the left side of the box was saved by goalkeeper Misa Rodríguez.
Seven minutes later, Graham Hansen headed in the second from close range. Paredes made it 3-0 with another header off a corner from Graham Hansen in the 27th.
The home team went into halftime with a 4-0 lead after Pajor's seventh goal in the Champions League this season and career 40th in European club competitions.
Graham Hansen chipped the ball over Rodríguez 10 minutes into the second half for a 5-0 lead. Clara Serrajordi set up Brugts to tap in the sixth.
Barcelona are seeking to reclaim the title it lost to Arsenal last season. The Catalan club topped the league phase with an unbeaten campaign that included 20 goals scored and three against.
