Three and easy for Fifers
Jon McShane's 90th-minute penalty secured East Fife a 3-0 win over Montrose at New Bayview. At the start of play, the Fifers had only won two of their last 10 matches in Scottish League Two and the win helped them retain fourth place. Bryan Deasley could have put the visitors into the lead with a great chance inside the penalty area, but squandered his chance, hitting it high over the bar. Ross Campbell put Gary Naysmith's men in front, as he neatly dispatched Kevin Smith's low pass, and Smith doubled the home side's lead on the hour as he headed McShane's cross past Stuart McKenzie.Stopper McKenzie was booked in the final minute as he hauled down McShane in the box and the 23-year-old made no mistake, hitting home his eighth goal of the campaign to confirm the three points for the Levenmouth club.
